Motor mounts hold the engine to the frame/unibody. Internal combustion engines create vibration by nature. Engine mounts are designed to not only anchor the motor, but to dampen the vibration. In doing this, they also allow the engine to move around a good bit within the range of the mount's flex. This causes the engine to torque within the mount, and can cause wheelhop when the engine's torque is released through wheelspin. Mount mount inserts and solid replacement motor mounts are effective because the minimize or remove the ability of the mount to flex, keeping the engine closer to perfectly still. The tradeoff is a greater amount of engine vibration transfered into the body/frame of the car, and thusly into your butt.

If you mean aftermarket polyurethane motor mounts I'll try to explain in a simple way. Less engine movement---->Less Wheel Hop----->More energy to Wheels = very good thing If I missed something someone correct me.

Will I notice a difference in my auto if I get the front motor mounts? What about front and back? I'm running stock 16s and once in a full moon can I chirp them.

fronts are gonna make a difference and the back will add more vibration than is worth for a daily driven car.
chirping is bad, means your losing traction.

With both front and rear Energy Suspension inserts I don't really notice much added vibration. By far worth the money. I don't see then adding anything to complain about. There is a slight increase in vibration. If you were to use prothane or a solid mount you would add a lot of vibration, they are stiffer and will reduce wheel hop more than energyu suspension but at the expense of a lot ofvibration.
