27555, talon block = neon block Posted by esi420, Jul-15-02 10:04 AM
Ok, I am in the search for a new block because I am dumb and somehow f%$ked my other one up. Anyways, I found a 95 neon block for $100 and I want to know is it exactly the same as my 95 talon.
Well is it??
Thanks guys

the neon has two different heads the sohc and the dohc, just make sure that it's the duel. the bottems are the same

The DOHC cylinder head doesn't work WHATSOEVER as a direct drop in.

but if he is getting just a 'block' (meaning cylinder block) or doesn't need the head.. then there isn't any problem and he should probably get it.

It's cool I just don't want the misconception of buying the cylinder head too if avoiding that is possible since we cannot really use it

I hear using the sohc block raises compression a little.
