27527, Gary, this is too much for me to deal with.......... Posted by Avenger EST, Jul-15-02 09:31 AM
I am pretty pissed off right now. As you know, I sent you my ecu in hopes to get a line of 2gnt ecu's made up and you said it would be about 8 to 9 weeks if I remember correctly. I was cool with that. after a good 3 months rolls by, I am not so cool with that anymore. I have had to borrow Murix's ecu every time I wanted to drive my car. I sent my ECU to you back in mid march, and it has currently been 4 months and all I have heard is "no word yet" or "we can't get in touch with the ecu guy". That ecu was out of MY personal car, and now I am considering selling the car.......which I can't do without a factory ecu. I remember you saying back last month that you couldn't get in touch with your computer programmer because of a computer crash at your shop. well, it's a month later, and I am sure if that is the case, I am not the only angry customer. I am surprised that he hasn't contacted YOU as your business is so large. I also called last thursday, adn I was told that you were on the phone or outside or something, and your receptionist took a message for me.......assuming by yoru post you got that message. she said you would give me a call back........never got that call. so I called on fri. a guy answered the phone and said you wouldn't be back until today........fine. called today at about 2:45. A guy answered and told me the same thing I heard on thurs "he is on the phone" he took my name and said to call back later. I called back at about 5:15. same message. then I decided I didnt' want to get shafter, so I told them to let me hold. I held until the receptionist lady told me that you woudl be on the phone for a while and that I should call back later. I asked her when you closed, and she said 6:30. I said fine, I will call back around 6:15. I decide to call at about 6:05 just to make sure I catch you. guess what, you are gone for the day, and I have to call tommorow. now, I am not trying to accuse anybody of anything, but it looks like either the people you have working for you aren't sending you messages, or you are trying to avoid me. I dont' want this to end up like the Skrilla incident (and yeah, neither me or chris have recieved our 160 bucks back from him either.......and he is supposed to be a respected member of this board), but my ecu is worth a good deal mroe than 160 bucks, and I WILL have another one within a month. wether you guys supply me with the one I sent, or cut me a check to get another one from the dodge dealer, something WILL happen. this situation has gone very sour, and I an quite sick of it. If you haven't been recieving the messages from your receptionist, please recieve this one, I HAVE TO HAVE MY ECU BACK ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY cell phone number is 404-293-3976 my e-mail address is gte201j@prism.gatech.edu my website address is www.armond30.com PLEASE send me my ecu backm immediately if not sooner! A.D.P. Hey Josiah, can you email me at eclipse804@hotmail.com. I know of a cool member that has been trying to get in touch with you about getting his money back but couldn't get through. Thanks.

27530, RE: here you go Armond... Posted by Avenger EST, Jul-15-02 03:34 PM
I'm sure you haven't forgotten. Not returning 160 bucks is kinda hard to forget. I didn't see anything in that post about returning the money 'though. at least it is obviously being put to good use.
Oh, and as my ecu has only had one owner, I would rather have one in return that has only had a maximum of one owner.......preferrably me. I'm sure Gary will supply either my ecu or a new chrysler unit shortly.

Man, I hate getting ripped off, that shit happens to everyone sometime or another. Like the rx-7 board member that stole the other board members vin number, cut a key, and stole his car and they tracked him down and had him arrested thread... Everybody is out to make a buck, there is too much of a emphasis on society to whord money and shit... live of the fuggin land, people, its there for a reason!

Don't be pissed off because we are busy. It takes time to get all this done. One of the things I discussed on the phone with Chrysler Marketing was Mopar Performance parts for Eagle Talon, and Dodge Avenger. Just because we are unavailible to you at the time you want to speak with us, or are taking longer than you feel is nessasary doesn't mean we are not working towards your goal. I got ahold of the programmer and he is going to send back your computer to me to forward it on to you.
Now the programmer told me he may be able to have the Talon/Avenger program done in about 2 to 3 weeks, but it may take longer. I will now need somebody else to do some testing. You get a free AFX computer out of the deal.
Let me know, thanks
Gary

That's fine. I would rather wait until you guys have the ecu situation squared away for sure and pay for an exchange like normal. Time is "very" important to me, and in this case, more important than money.

27534, You were never being charged for anything as a beta tester Posted by AFX_Manufacturing, Jul-16-02 07:39 AM
That was the big advantage to you, as the beta tester. You wait, but you get the part for free.
Did you not understand the deal you were getting?

27535, RE: You were never being charged for anything as a beta tester Posted by Avenger EST, Jul-17-02 10:01 AM
yeah, I understand. only problem is I honestly cant' be 4 months without an ecu.......free or not. I was assuming it would be abotu 2 months max for getting the deal done. I would rather have my ecu back, and pay like normal once you guys have the ecu's ready for public sale then wait another month using borrowed parts to get my car down the road. If I had known that it would take 5 months to get an ecu program developed, I would have never voulenteered my ecu. sorry :(.

27542, RE: Armond call me please Posted by The1Bill, Jul-16-02 01:49 PM
Shit, for that, I would swap my A/T ECU back into my car and send you my M/T ECU. Contact me. As I have a spun rod bearing, I won't be going over 4K, so the 6500RPM revlimit on the A/T ECU won't be a problem. I would love to "take one (AFX ECU) for the team!" Once again, contact me. SilverKlipz@attbi.com Thanks, -=B-=

Yes that is one advantage but another big one qwas suppose to be timing advance.

yea, eliminates that redline, but I've done the 2nd to 1st shift a few times and now I'm chikin, dont want my engine revving to 10krpm, hittin 3rd's a whore.

27548, RE: Armond call me please Posted by RIeclipse, Jul-20-02 04:57 PM
with the timing advance, don't you lose more gas, and how much more horsepower with the chip?
