what year and how many miles does your car have? if its high mileage, the deal with stalling in the morning may be your fuel filter or something related. as for the idling, i think that is about the norm for an idle for our cars. mine sits about right there and occasionally fluctuates to about 1000ish.

Your idle is fine at 800-900.
If you'd like, start by checking your fuel/air filters and all the hoses. When I cleaned my engine bay the other day I found quite a few hoses that were very dry and some where cracked. I replaced all the hoses and it's idling much better now and never getting close to stalling anymore. :)
