hey guys, i got a question, i just did a aem cam gear install, and also port and polish intake, and after putting it all back together when it starts it sounds loppy like a hot rod thats cammed out. is this ok? also it idles low and when it's warm it wants to die. any ideas on how to fix this? is there an idle controller like the 4g63? also my 02 is burnt out, but it was like that before the install. could this be running to rich and cause this? thanks guys...

I'd bet your timing is off. I have read that the AEM cam gears timing marks arent right, becuse they are meant for the Neon engine or something. Off timing will cause a crappy idle..best way to fix this is to match up your stock gear with the aem gear and match up the timing marks, and make your own proper marks, then re set the timimg belt. The new marks will be very close to the ones already on them, just slightly off. I know VX100 just did this install not long ago, so hit him up for any more questions about the cam gears..
