27166, Redline????? Posted by total97eclipse, Jul-11-02 04:39 AM
I bought some AC Autotecnic reverse indiglos and the redline on them is 6500. After talking to some people they said our redline is 7000 stock. Well I wanted to see when the rev limiter would kick in and it did at 6500. Is 7000 our redline and if so what would cause my cars rev limiter to kick in at 6500. I am racing at the track tomorrow so I need some help ASAP, TIA

Do you have an AT or MT? The redline on the AT is 6500 rpms.

because your gauges are wrong if you're an MTX.

The 6500 redline on the ac autotechnics is at the same point as the 7000 on the regular guages so a little after that is fuel cutoff. I have them on my car and I also have an autometer tach and the indiglos are off but they are just spaced out a little farther to make the 6500 point the same as the 7000. Hope that helps
