This is a fairly new clutch that i have. It only has about 3500 miles on it but i think it is beginning to slip. Tonight while driving around ill have it to the floor, then shift real fast from 2nd to 3rd. When i do that the RPMs will take about 2-3 sec. to drop from 6500 to around 5000 and it wont accelerate during that time. normally it is instantaneous drop from 6500 to 5000 but i believe that my clutch is beginning to slip. Any ways to test to see if it is?

yep sounds like ur slipping. r u sure you let the clutch go all the way? i heard that if you put it in 4th at a dead stop and drop the clutch for a sec and it doesnt stall then ur clutch is goin bad. not sure how accurate this is though.

i did that in 5th gear and it died right away. i thought i heard about that test somewhere too. it might just be the humidity? we had 100% humidity tonight and it rained for a while.

Lol, I thought 100% humidity WAS rain....didn't know it could be that humid, and still have a chance for rain ;P

I though it was getting it to move from a dead stop in 2nd :wary

yea, Mike told me to do that too, so i went out and tried it. It started from second but not very well at all and smelled like burning clutch! damn! o well, if it does go then im getting a stage 1 or 2 clutch.
