26913, Vertically mounted engine w/ RWD tranny
Posted by tacoman123, Jul-08-02 02:23 PM
I'm wondering, how hard would it be to have a vertically mounted motor?

Also how hard would it be to have a rear-wheel drive tranny?

How hard would it be together?

How much faster would I be if I convert it from FWD to RWD?

Thanks

you seem to have lots of very expensive questions.. why do you keep asking them? hehe.

anyway.. it's too expensive to be worth it the price/performance ratio is much better to just use the transverse/FWD setup.

not worth it, but if you want to fabricate a whole lot of shit, go right ahead.

You mean longitudinal like a front engine, RWD configuration. I think Vertical would be standing it on end like an outboard engine on a boat.

Here’s a RWD Eclipse drag car:

I remember seeing a previous generation Tibi running two 4G63 engines, one in back one in front.

Lots and lots of custom fabrication.

Ummm, last I heard Brent's car was AWD. Buschur has the 2g tube framed rear driver.

You're right.

I linked off the NHRA site:
http://www.nhrasportcompact.com/2002/drivers/B_Rau.html
where it claimed it was RWD. I didn't check out his site.

that TIBI you are talking about is running two of the standard tibi hyundi motors, NOT 4G63's.

still a sweet car *goes and watches the video* haha
