I'm looking to buy a new exhaust and I found out that the muffler tip that I want is only 3.25 inches. My problem is that it sounds tiny. Is it?

If you can let me know what kind muffler you have?
what is the size of the tip?
and if you have any pictures of it, please post them.

My tip is either 3.5" or 4.5" I think. I have the OBX B5 muffler (looks kinda like the N1) It looks a little small though so Im thinking 3.5 without going out there to measure it.

I have it to. Man, that thing is HUGE. Its more like 4.5"

Here's mine. It's kinda blurry, but it's dual. You could find a universal muff with 2 outlets, and put on 2 fairly small tips on. I think it looks good.

I have the greddy sport and there huge. 5.1 inches to be exact.

Mines 4.25 and its a good size, 3inch is too small.

I have DTM 3" attached to dynomax race muffler and glasspack resonator.

That looks pretty nice euro_clipse. I personally prefer two small tips instead of one large one.

mines 4.5 or it might be 5 i have to measure. I had a ractive catback it sounded alright but i hit a bump and ripped the muffler off, so i scrapped it and i have a hks dragger style knock off muffler with custom piping from the cat(2.75 SS polished pipe wih no resonator its loud

i miss my old non-ricer exhuast tips, but i got the thermal free, so i cant complain

I say screw the tip. How big is the exhaust piping itself and how well will it flow?

AMEN! Fart cannons.. thats what only mufflers are.. get a cat back.. the Apex Dunk.. I have the GT Spec on my RX7. It sounds sweet! And gave me 17rwhp in topend :)
