2608, Front end bounces wildly during take off
Posted by alexries, May-31-01 05:43 AM
Hey, if I floor it from a dead stop, instead of a total burnout, the front end of the car bounces off the ground, maybe 1-2in at most (total guess from inside the car). I'm riding on stock '97 14's with stock springs and struts. I want the car to stick to the ground and the front wheels slip or the car move forward (obviously wider rims would do that but...)

could be from too much air in the tires.. try the afx front solid mount to reduce wheel hop

Yeah motor moutn inserts of the AFX solid mount will help reduce this, or eliminate it. But you may also be running on worn our struts which doesn't help.
