26070, ANOTHER CLUCTH QUESTION...please help need car soon!!!! Posted by chaye, Jun-26-02 05:46 PM
alright so today i got my clutch from ACT. it came with a pressure plate, disk, throw out bearing, aligning tool. However my clutch, to stock one, is a modular type meaning that its a one piec the pressure plate is machined pressed to the "flywheel?". but this guy told me that i should go ahead and break the "headless bolts" and go and buy some good bolts thread some threads in to the existing holes(6) of the "flywheel that is attached to the presure plate and boallaa. now the question at hand is..........Will this work? and those of u who have replaced their own clutches (modular) did you buy stock or aftermarket and how did it come?? thanks

Damn, man, ACT doesn't make clutches for the 420a powered cars. Being a '95, you will either have a modular setup (solid unit that bolts to the flexplate, much like a torque converter), or a non-modular setup (conventional clutch). Unfortunately, ACT doesn't make a clutch that suits either of the applications. The ACT clutches only apply to the 4G63 powered Eclipses. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news... IM me if you need anything else. (NightRacingGod) -=B-=
