Ok my ac does not work so I took the belt off and just put a belt to the powersteering pump. I also took the ac relay out. So now when I am driving if I push the ac button it seems that I have more power. Does the computer make the engine run different when the ac button is pushed to the on position, to acomidate the extra load on the motor? Or is it some thing else that could be causing this.

if your car is used ....maybe you just found the button for the nitrous.... jk... (would be nice though)

but i havent hd my ac belt on for a long time..and... i never felt anything special when i pushed the button....

it should kick on your other fan

when the A/C button is on (whether the A/C is on or not) the car's idle will increase and the fan will turn on. I don't know of anything else that changes though.

u think maybe the ecu would know to compensate for the extra load on the engine by leanin her out a lil?? (after turnin the a/c on)

i have heard that peeps experience higher EGTs when runnin a/c...

but then again, wouldn't the ecu learn over time that the load on the engine wasnt their anymore, and not compensate for it anymore???
