I haven't been happy with the sound of my car since I put the test pipe on. I decided to put on a bigger glasspack. I went with a 31" Thrush. My brother-in-law(Jeff) helped me set it up. We pride ourselve in our exhaust prowess. Anyway, I love it. It sounds soooo much better. A bit louder, and much deeper.

The 31" is a bit big, well its really big. The stock presilencer has 12" of glass, the 31" has 24" of glass. Its twice as big. I ended up cutting 1.5 inches off of each side so it would fit better. After all was said and done, the section grew 2.5 inches. It could be shortened by another inch, but it seems to fit allright - good enough for me anyway.

this totally reminds me that i need to install my glasspack sometime soon to get rid of my raspy exhaust note i have had for awhile.

thrush paints their's to look just like Cherry bomb brand glass packs? hehe.. I wanna drop a 'Purple horny' brand glass back on my zx2 :)

I was thinking of getting a glasspack. I cant find much info on them though... Do these replace your muffler? Or do they just quiet and tune your exhaust note? Also, do they give you more power?

My dad has a vette runing duel glasspacks and no mufflers, he bought it like that so the details he doesnt really know. All I know is it is LOUD.

Well, I put on the glasspack to offset the terrible rice burning noise that came when I put on the test pipe. With no catalytic converter the exhaust gets really loud and high pitched. I put the new glasspack in place of the presilencer(which is a glasspack) NOT the muffler. The new longer glasspack cuts down on the high pitch of the exhaust.

Even with the new glasspack, I want to replace the muffler. It sounds like mine has a broken baffle in it(only at certain RPMs), but at least it sounds like I'm burning gas instead of sake. I think that there's just too much exhaust for the stock muffler without the cat.
