Yes, but i also see evidence of heat wear on the bearing. Can you get some bigger pics?
They certainly shouldn't be rough looking like that. I'd say you got some shavings in your oil.

who did your rebuild? looks like someone didnt properly clean the cylinder walls and oil pan before the assembly of the that engine. noway they should look like that from "normal" use.

Hmmm, looks a little familiar. Look at the part of the oil pump that the crank goes through. There should be 2 raised areas that mate to the flat spots on the crank. Make sure these raised areas are *roof* shaped (^) and not flattened out. I heard of them flattening out and dropping oil pressure. Prolly not your problem, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Oh yeah. there were definately some fragments in there. that bearing is FUCKED up.
GOOD rod bearings are smooth as glass and slightly polished. That thing is scored BAD.

Yup, i was like how the fuck did that happen, good thing the crank wasn't messed up. it only had a slight discoloration on it that i emery clothed and it came off. then i polished the journal using a light abrasive polish and it looked like new. i gotta get a set of spare bearings in case some dum shit like that happens again! lates james
