25217, Simple EGR blockoff.

I'll start with my understanding of our EGR system (that might be my mistake). Our system only recirculates at partial throttle and idle. Therefore at WOT, no hot gases will be sent back into the intake. Correct?

Assuming that to be true, here's the easiest way to eliminate the EGR system. Unplug the vacuum signal to from the back of the manifold. Now your EGR solenoid thinks you're always at WOT and it never opens. You will have to plug the intake manifold port though. I simply plugged my BOV in at that point.

Comments?

Yup, sounds about right. It opens at part throttle not at idle.

You'll still get a CEL though.

No cel after 2 weeks. Why do you think you'd get a CEL? The ECU doesn't care if you run at WOT all day long or if you never do. I don't think any codes should be thrown.

last time I checked I pulled 6 codes! 3 or so were EGR related. I don't realy care as long as I check my codes once in a while to know what my mota is up to.

I just tore all that shit out, then mades some plates out of a soda can to block the holes. Just used tin snips to cut the can, put on some gasket maker, and used some shorter bolts to hold them in place....
