25129, Intake mani and TB question. Posted by DocWhiplash, Jun-12-02 03:01 AM
I have a spare Throttle Body and was considering my options. I'm running a 75 shot and wanted to see if I should get a spare intake mani and send em both to ARD and have the TB bored to 57mm and the intake mani ported or should I just send the TB to howell and have it bored to 55mm. With it being a Nitrous application would it be better with the bigger throttle body? I dont mind changing the intake mani out but will the gains from ARD be worth it. Basically I'm a cheap ass and If its not gonna give to much of a gain I'd rather just do the TB itself. TIA

I say send em to ARD, If anything its going to help, your gettin more air in. As for the intake mani, it helps air flow, and the air stays a lot cleaner. Go for it.

definately do the t/b, 55mm is good enuff... the p&p from ARD is coo, helps in the top, or upper rpm range...
to use w/nitrous, i figure it will lean out the mixture a lil since more air will be with the N2O when u use it, so u will be creatin a lil more power....
good luck...

ARD does a good job on the TB and they also do it to 55mm, but the intake mani is not that well done. They only touch the ports. I had to do a lot of the cleaning up.
TB is worth it, specially with NOS.
Good Luck
