are the idler/tensioner pulleys supposed to spin freely, if so i guess mine are good.. my boy dante said they arent supposed to move like that.. and mitsu sells them for 150 ouch.. i cant find them at any other parts store..

when i bought my udp from blake he gave me 2 acc belts with them, are they junk? should i just buy 2 new ones because they are cheap.

is our timing belt 2 belts? the cam drive and balance shaft belt? yes or no.. i thought it was just one.. guess not.

i found a water pump.. i want to change it all do it right even if im going to sell the car i dont want to give away no lemon..

what else do i need i so thought i was missing something.

they should have something like a hot tank. they dip it in and leave it for a while and pull it out everything is gone.

i would be safe and just go with the factory one. we know that the new mls gaskets work, we don't know about some other brand though

I'm pretty sure they spin freely, not positive but pretty sure.

may as well, everything is off so do it while you can

once agian, almost positive its one piece, make that 99.9% positive

thanks guys, i told auto zone i didnt have balance shafts dumbfucks i tell ya.. thats twice they told me this.

ok now what about the idler tensioner pulley.. are they supposed to spin freely or not.. if they are supposed to then i dont need new ones..

When i did my t-belt change, i replaced them. The one that was salvageable, spun freely, and the new ones spun a little less freely. I would change them imo...

HEY I GOT MY PULLYS IDLER AND TENSIONE FOR 130 BOTH AT SATAN
AND THEY SPIN FREELY
ALSO I THINK THAT THERE ARE 2 BELTS ONE THE TIMING BLET AND THE OTHER ONEE IS THE BALANCIG SHAFT I TINK ITS REALTED TO THE OIL PUMP LOOK IT UP IN THE CHILTON BIBLE ITS IN THERE IN THE ENGINE OVERHAUL SECTION
AND YES JUST GET THE GASKET FRM SATAN I GOT MINE FROM THEN FOR 53 BUCKS AND ITS ALUMINUM IT WAS REDESING ACCORDING TO THE SATANS HELPER AND HE TOLD ME THAT THAT ALUMINUM GASTKET IS 50 TIMES BETER THAN THE STACK ONE ON MY 95 ECLIPSE

Just a warning- I read in the Chiltons (or 420a rebuild manual?) that you should NEVER hot tank aluminum parts, including the head. There's definitely a cleaning process for aluminum, dont know what it's called, but I know hot tanking isn't it.

i would do the same thing but i cant afford the insurance for me my insurance quoted me 196 amonth just for liability on a GSX
it is my dream but i guess i will have to dream and keep what i now have
