249, Cold Air Intake Adjustments....

Are any adjustments to the engine necessary after one installs a cold air intake system? I installed a RActive intake system and on takeoffs, I have to rev the car to higher RPMs than when I had the Original intake. Also it sounds and feels as tho it's boggin down, and I noticed a considerable loss of torque. Can anyone give me any suggestions/feedback

Thanx!

I could be leaking at the connections. At the throttle body or the filter, that may cause some trouble.

Why do you got to reset your ecu?

Should NOT have to do anything to it. Maybe you knocked a sensor or a vacuum line loose while working on it. While it does not hurt to reset ECU, Should NOT have to be done. Clean your throttle body at the butterfly. Helps ALOT.

To reset the ecu take off the negative battery cable and posative for like 15 sec then reconect them. If you do this you will have to get the code for you stereo if its the stock one. I dont think you have to do this however. You should get some nice gains from a catback and intake. Like i said above you probly dont have to reset the ecu.

dear god i just noticed the date on this thing.
