I have the 5 ton 3 jaw puller, but I don't have that special extension tool that you use to push the jaw off of. What did you guys use to take this damn crank pulley out? | |

24619, RE: Getting the crank pulley out Posted by MetalJim, Jun-05-02 09:40 AM Yeah, I used a 100mm version of the stock 12mm x 1.75 that I got from a local hardware store. They were in a John Deere lableled baggie(had to buy a set of 2 bolts). Just make sure that when you are cranking it off, that the bolt head is never too far away from the actual pulley. I did it in 1/2 inch increments. | |

I got the pulley out, but the socket is stuck in there. Any suggestions? | |

I thought it had something to do with drilling or tapping. Worst case - you can always replace the crankshaft. | |
