24464, Millin my head down Posted by NAEclipseMatt, Jun-03-02 02:19 PM
Well everyone, my head is getting pulled, I am in the process of doing it, and I had a few questions. I searched so dont yell at me if already asked. But anyway... I may be replacing my valves, and perhaps my pistons notsure... But while the head is out I can have it PnPd for 50$ and same price for intake manifodl, so Im doing that... Im also getting 3 angled valve job, just cuz they could use it... But in addition to that I would like to mill the head down.. Would you recommend it, how much shoudl I mill... what other additional modifications may I need... Please help me I would greatly appreciate it..

Depends on your plans. If you are eventually going rebuild with high compression pistons soon or eventually I wouldn't bother except to make sure the head is perfectly flat. But you can mill for a raise in compression. Look at long term plans before you do womethhing that will raise compresion too high in the future.
Una salus victus.
