This is from a leaking intake manifold gasket. The leaks caused the engine to operate very instable. Fluctuating idles and occasional stalling. It's a 4G63 engine in my 1g DSM.

The circled areas are where the gasket leaked.

The intake runners on the manifold and the intake ports on the head are very gunked up. A lot of grease and grime as you can see on outer 2 ports on the 2nd pic. The inner 2 ports I cleaned with a dry shop rag. What can I use to clean the runners and ports real good? I don't know how I'll clean the middle of the runners. Will carb cleaner work?
