I Read on: http://www.allpar.com/neon/performance.html
That if you stick a TB from a automatic neon(55mm), on a stick neon(49mm), you gain some Hp. Does anyone know if the Auto. TB from a neon would fit on a stick eclipse? It seems like a good idea. :)

uhh... you need to read up on this board a little and look at the upgrade stages on the main webpage. Seriously... do a search for bored throttle body. It seems there are 2 options for a bigger TB right now, get yours bored by Howell Automotive or Advanced Racing Dynamics, or hook up the Jeep Cherokee TB switch. Seriously though... read some archives!

It could work. Just get one and see. I got Jeep TB's to work on our cars, and they also work on neons.
You just want to make sure that they are 55mm stock and not 52mm

I believe, the Neon TB will not directly fit. You would have to modify the TPS and other fitment issues.

Actually it would most likely hurt you HP number. One thing you want to do is open the air flow. On our N/T cars we bore our throttle bodies out to 55mm or put on a 60mm Jeep throttle body. The Neon boyz started putting the Jeep TB's on their cars and the next thing you know we have guys putting them on our cars. Bigger is always better where air flow is involved.

Bigger is better for airflow and the more air your TB can flow the better horsepower you can make. Putting a smaller TB on is like restricting your engine from breathing. (Sample: NASCAR makes the Winston Cup cars run restrictor plates on the superspeedways to slow the cars down.) Putting a smaller throttle body on is like running a restrictor plate. Any more quesitons? Not that I would know the answer ;)
