Just wanted to let you know that Autozone is advertising on the radio and at their stores that they will scan your ECU and tell you why the CEL is on.. They of course are doing this so you will buy stuff from them to fix the problems, but its free... so you all dont have to go to Satan and pay $65 bucks a pop anymore... Figured this info maybe helpful to some of you.

This isn't some promotion? This is something they are going to do from now on? That sounds pretty cool. Thanks.

Saw that today. I think advance even rents the things out with a deposit that u get back when u return it. No idea. I am gonna go let this guy test mine. He has one. He won't charge us anything either. Hopefully it's a simple thing like coil pack or wires.

I went to Autozone the other day and the guy came out and looked under my dash and told me that they couldn't hook their thing up to my car because they didn't have the right connector. I have a 1996 Eclipse, so can they do this on our cars? let me know and if so ill head back over there--Thanks

fak all that... autozon can do it.. all u need is a standard obd1 or obd2 connector, and they can pull your codes...
i threw the guy 5 bux since i usually drop a C-note at satan...

I went 2 AutoZone this past weekend 4 my CEL... they were able 2 tell me the code (P1390), but they couldn't look up what the code meant. I wound up having 2 look it up on the DSM CD - Technical Manual (I asked AutoZone, Advanced Auto, NAPA, & Pep Boys). Just a warning :|
P.S. P1390 = Timing belt skipped 1 tooth or more
P.P.S. If some1 could pleaz help me w/ my previous post on weak threads 4 the camshaft bolt, I'd appreciate it =)
Thanx, - J
