I just finished installing my gauges. The only thing that I don't understand is my a/f gauge. It bounces back and forth from lean to rich like a ping pong ball. It stayes just barely over into the rich side at WOT, and when I take my foot of the gas it slames to the lean side. Is this normal??? My guess is that it is because the ecu is constantly adjusting the fuel. If this is normal what do I want to look for when something is realy wrong???

At partial throttles the A/F gauge is going to bounce around. It's at WOT that you really get you rreading, and from the soundof it you are fine. Our cars run rich. And until you get an S-AFC you can't change that.

Make sure your foot is to the floor because you should be more then barely into the rich area at WOT. You didn't specify what gauge you have but if its the autometer you should be on the next to last or 3rd to last led (.090-.095V) and from 6000rpm up on the 2nd from last to last led (.095-.1V). There are six green leds and the first green led is .075V, the 2nd .080V, the 3rd .085V none of which are safe at WOT except possibly .085V which would be at the limit. Whatever gauge you have you should be way over into the rich side. IF the gauge has less than 20 leds its pretty useless for tuning but can tell you if the car is rich or not (even the 20 led autometer is barely adequate, an analog or digital volt readout is much better).
