23401, Power steering belt -- squeel

When I start my car, everything is fine -- but as soon as I start moving and turn the steering wheel, the power steering belt (I think) is REALLY whiny, and loud. I sprayed DW-40 on it to see if it did anything, and it worked for a little bit. But it's back again. Is the belt loose? What's the deal. Any help is appreciated.

hit up my site and go to the afx udp install, and in it will be a writeup on how to tighten both belts....

Here's what you do; have someone start the car while you look at your power steering unit. If the pulley shakes while starting or idling, then chances are your pulley bearings are shot. Mine used to do that, and it turned out that part of the shaft in the pulley was rubbing on the bearing, causing all those squells. At least that's what my friend who's a Dodge technician said. Ended up costing me 450 bucks, thank God for warranties.

I'd try tightening the belts 1st though, see what happens!!!! Good Luck!!!!
