23219, MSD coil pack Posted by DeanoD, May-16-02 05:31 AM
PN# 8229 is still on backorder through MSD. MSD rep(summit called while I waited on phone) told Summitracing that they are still waiting on their supplier to ship to them and then retail distributors will receive them. They also said(do not hold breath)distributors should have them by the end of May.
Save your call to summit/jegs etc. Summit is showing 75 backorders for this part.

New update: Mid July is the receiving date now posted at Summitracing. I would order it now, because they will not charge you until it ships. They already have 75 backordered. Would really suck to have to wait till MSD receives another shipment from their coil pack manufacturer.

hmm that PN didn't work on the parts find but I added MDS-and the number and it worked. Sez it's for a 93-98 eclipse? Is that the right one? 4 tower coil?. Haha I wanna see a picture of it before I order.
Oh well that's cool at least I know I can get a better replacement when my coil bites the dust. :)

Does it have automatic timing retard for nitrous and stuff like that?

ive had it on backorder since like january :(
and its just a coilpack. not an ignition controller. no retard/advance options. just produces a stronger spark, would work well in a stok ignition, and even better for those with msd2's or other aftermarket iginitions
