22986, Question about headers with 420a???
Posted by jeclipse14, May-12-02 10:03 AM
I should have some extra money next week and i was thinkin about headers. I have a 98 rs with just an intake. I was wonderin if it would be worth getting headers if it would do much for me or not. This might be a dumb question but i just dont want to blow 400 bucks.
Peace
Thanx

Depends on your plans. Do you plan on getting turbo eventially, if so, don't spend the money, save it toward other purchases. If you plan on nitrous or all motor then it's worth getting header but the difference between the $400 header and the $100 header isn't worth it.

You say you only have an intake, if I were you I would get a cat-back exhaust. It gives better performance then headers. You can get a good one like a Greddy for about that price($400). Or save it for the Turbo? Headers arent worth it.

I'm pleased with my header. And I didn't spend $400 on it. There is a difference in the brands, anybody can make a header, but it takes some skill to make one right. I plan on taking NA a long way so it was definately a good investment for me. But it's not for all.

Una salus victus.
