First you need to find out what code your ECM is throwing, try the key dance if it will work on your year 2gnt. or go to satan and pay an arm and a leg(like 70 bucks to read the code)...

And not everyone that works at the dealership is a spawn of satan.
The white smoke is very normal. It's all that cleaner and the carbon blowing out. On the check engine light, that's normal as well. What happens is you load up the engine with all that cleaner plus the fuel and the engine chokes a bit. The powertrain control module sees that choking and sets the Check engine light. Here's what you do. Just in front of the battery is the fuse box. Take out the red fuse that reads "Engine" or "Motor". Leave it out for about 2 mins and then put it back in. This will reset the computer's memory. The car will stall out the first time you crank it. This is normal. Crank it again and it will run. It will idle a lil funny at first, as well as drive a lil funny. But after about 20 mins of driving everything should be close to normal. You can also take out the fuse for theft prevention purposes. If you try to start the car without that fuse... nothing works. No starter engagement or anything. Hope this helps, Doug
