I think its my power steering belt. idle and up to 1500 it squeaks. 2000 and above it shuts up. How do I tighten that sucker up? I need a walkthrough and some pics. tia

good luck...

Do I loosen the bolt on the pulley or the little tensioner looking thing? Your site kind of confused me but I will look over it again and again. thanks

I tried to tighten the belt. I tried to loosen the belt. I started the car and leaned down to listen and it sound like it is coming from the power steering pump area(thats right next to the headers right?) or the timing belt area. I really want to get this taken care of, I don't want some s**t to break, plus it's embarrasing as hell.

standing in front of the car the tensioner is right under the thermostat housing. On the side of the pulley, facing the drivers side, is a bolt 14mm if I remember correctly, loosen that up. Then facing the front of the car is another bolt again it should be 14mm. tighten that unntil the belt is tighter on the pulley you shouldn't be bale to push the belt more than 1/2" - 3/4" in the middle of the belt. WHen that is tensioned the right amount. Then tighten the bolt on the side of the pulley and you are done.
