Well, i'm a 97 Automatic eclipse definitely wanting and needing more power. The turbo kit will eventually come but this is what i have planned to do in three weeks, everything will go on at the same time. I want to know what you guys think and if you think i'll get a decent amount of power....i'm obviously not going to be a speed demon, but will i get some good gains?

Not bad, my guess is mid to low 16's. Maybe upper 15's but the auto is pushing it. Either way it will better than what ya got! :)

Theres no way he'll get out of the mid 17's with those mods. I have header, upd, cai, plugs, wires, and mufler (just muffler) and ran 18.0

You need to do something about that damn power-robbing
transmission. How about a torque converter. I think I have my hands on one next week (for me of course)

If you going turbo soon you wasting your money on the cai.

the only way you are going to see significant gains is to go NOS or turbo... lol.

Very good point about the CAI, but dont i have to have a pretty good intake to take full advantage of the boreded throttle body?

ya, so get a shortram, from ebay for like 30 bones... u may be able to use it w/your turbo setup later on ;-) if not, sell it cheap to a new modder...

No point in getting the cold air intake if you plan on turboing later on. Use the money from the aem intake to get a muffler for the pacesetter exhaust system (it sucks). I recommend NGK plugs but MSD wires are completely awesome and they are only $30 at summit.

What muffler would you guys reccommend for the pacesetter exhuast, I want something that sounds really nice

Well, the best way to make the car faster would be to swap a 5 speed into it. :-D I would get a CAI for now, too. You can always sell it, and it made a marked difference above the short-ram.

ONe of the guys in our club has about the same mods your talking about and he just ran a 17.6 friday night...not sure which exhaust, but i know he has the AEM CAI, Bosal headers and that's really about it...

ok guys, yea that is a good list but you wont be very quick - why is it that every FAST 2g is TURBO or NOS and not all motor - is it because of the weight of the 2g? or what - cause this civic hatch i have is freakin fast as shit and its all motor... - with only exhaust and intake..
