21684, Jet v-force 12hp gain on web site???
Posted by Talon95Stang, Apr-28-02 11:19 PM
I was just looking around and saw that on jetchip.com they dynoed a neon and got 12 hp gain. Does anyone think it would be worth it? Anything than headers that add .4 hp.

not worth it. i have never heard anything positive about jet except from jet. some guy i heard of compared the lines of code from a modified ecu to the stock one and found absolutly nothing had changed. as for the headers, i know everybody talks bad about them, but i felt a nice gain from mine. :wary

greddy headers
apex-i n1 catback

isnt a chip and turbo (if you ever plan on turboin') bad?? chips advance your timing but you may need to retard your timing if you go turbo so its a big waste of money??

Mopar Action did a track / dyno test of the JET, Mopar and AFX computers on a 96 or 97 acr I believe. Anyway, the Mopar and AFX showed decent gains across the board and both added a few MPH to trap speeds. The JET on the other hand provided NO gains whatsoever and was actually slightly worse than stock on some of the timed runs.

The only thing they do is move the stock limiter up to 130 MPH. None of the fuel curves are remapped nor is the stock ignition timing changed.

Basicly a $300 paperweight.

Might as well get an AFC and some Cam Gears if all the chip does is adv. your timeing... And i definately notice a gain with my headers.

ignition timing, not valve timing. and yes jet is crap.
