21616, Cam Shaft question??? Posted by black_eclipse_95, Apr-28-02 02:29 AM
Does anyone have a diagram of the cam shaft and its timing points. I had the cam gears changed and the valves checked, but now my car won't start. The fuel pressure regulator reads about 20 psi and then bleads off. Would this be caused by the cam shafts not being put in right? I really need help soon. My wife is going to have a baby soon and I can't keep taking her car to work because of it. PLEASE HELP!!!

So, you didn't do it yourself? I'd take it back if you didn't do it yourself. It's standard practice to test the engine after a job like that.
Anyway, It sounds like you want to make sure that the timing was set correctly. If you're going to do it yourself, definately have a manual at hand. I switched my cams using the Chilton manual. Dino hosts a copy of the Factory manual at http://www.heavenz-not-0verflowing.com/files There are some good pics in there as well.
You'll need to take the timing belt cover off to check it. It's not really a job for someone whos unfamiliar with wrenching an engine.

The link you sent me was what I was looking for. I looked all over the place for a repair manual but was unlucky in finding one. Thanks.
