21513, boring my own TB?? Posted by Hult250R, Apr-26-02 03:08 PM
Im a machinist in a machine shop so i have pretty much every machine at my disposal... Is it possible to bore my own TB? if so what size and is it bored at a taper or straight through? what about the butterfly plate? will i have to make a larger one to close off the larger bore? Thanks for the help... Hult250R

Since this is your first wack at it, I wouldn't go too extreme (yet). Bore it out to 55mm, straight through. Yes, you will need to make a new butterfly plate.
