21385, engine code for o2 sensor?
Posted by nevercontent, Apr-25-02 08:32 AM
ok so i just counted the light blinks on the check engine light and i got 1 2 2 1 5 5
this is two different codes right? 122 and 155? 122 is the o2 sensor i think but i'm not sure and when i looked it up in the manual there doesn't seem to be a match for any combination of the above numbers so i'm confused. help anyone?

You are actually reading three numbers 12, 21, and 55.

12 means your battery has been disconnected after 50 key cycles.
21 most likely means your o2 sensor is bad (Check the harness).
55 means there are no more codes to report.

Try disconnecting your negative terminal on your battery for about 10 minutes to reset the PCM. This will clear all the codes. If 21 comes back, you probably need a new sensor.

ahhh ok awesome thanks...so codes are in 2 number sequences then? and i know the o2 sensor is bad, its been fried since i put on the intake, headers and exhaust, i'm gonna go put the new one on now. freaking satan wanted $125 for a new front o2 sensor, my friend who owns a shop got it from NOPI for 55. satan sucks. they'd probably charge 125 to install the thing too. whatever. thanks again.

Anybody know how to check the engine code on a 98 Eclipse Spyder GS. 4g64 engine. I tried the turn key on/off/on/off/on but nothing happens. It doesn't blink.

I'm almost positive that it's my front 02. The engine wants to die out at red lights...the RPM goes from 900-400 back and forth but never dies.

Can u help

Thanks
Mike

your o2 sensor wouldn't cause those problems...your car will just run rich. and maybe not pass inspections.
