21234, need help Posted by Fate, Apr-24-02 02:10 PM
When I was pulling the stock UDP pulley off the factory bolt got bent a little. I can still tighten it all the way down but dont feel safe doing this the last thing I need is for it to break off in there. I have found a new bolt that matches except it is about a half inch longer. Would using a washer or two with this bolt be ok or would it be too unbalanced.:nono Don't want to go to junk yard to find one that could take forever, same with trying to order it from satan if they can even get it. Thanks for any help.

I think you'll be fine with a few washers. The pulley is an interference fit anyway, the bolt doesn't really do much.

Or just hack off the extra 0.5" from the bolt you bought. A hacksaw will work fine. This isn't really a safety issue, mainly aesthetics.
