my belts squeaked for a month and it drove me up the wall so i sold my soul to the devil to get it fixed but you can do it just by reading this and using some common sense

1. make sure the belts are generally the right size
2. first alt belt.... loosen the lock nut with an open ended wrench it located on top of the alt you can see it if you look down from behind the fuel rail (general area), then tighten belt with tension screw located on alt (you should be under the car now) then tighten the lock nut again......
3. The accessory is even easier just lossen the lock nut located next to the tension pulley. tighten the belt with the tension screw. you will see the pulley sliding back as you do this........then tighten up the lock nut........AND THANK GOD NO MORE SQUEALING you can enjoy your afx pulley with no noise....

XTRA you might want to remove the belts and clean the pulleys and belts ......to ensure no slippage...........my directions may suck so if you have questions just post and ill answer... There is no reason for you to be driving around sounding like a field of mice

I'll have to try that. The birds are getting on my nerves. And I am tired of sprying belt spray on them.

hmmmm......in that case i guess you guys didn't install your own pulleys then or else you would've know you can tighten your belts.

Haha yeah I figured that out months ago. My alternator belt was too big so I bought a smaller one. Make sure you put locktite on the tension screw also, that shit keeps on going undone on me! Well it started squeaking again, apperently I over tightened the accesory belt, because whenever I spray belt dressing on that shiny tension pulley on the accesory belt it goes away. So I probably gotta grease that sucka up or something.

Yeah, belts stretch with age, and do need to be retensioned from time to time. And to those of you who are using belt dressing that could be your problem. I hate belt dressing, in my opinion it works for a while but if you don't keep applying it regularly the belts dry up once you start using it. So you put it one and it stops squeeling and then the belts start to dry and crack and then squeel again, until you put more belt dressing on. Basically the moral of the story: I hate belt dressing and don't recommend it's use.
