So has there been any progress? Are we going to have to kick Operation Acquire AF/X ECU into full gear?

The word from Gary so far seems to be that he has his guy working on it and hopefully we should have something soon. I am interested to hear what that really means myself. :)

yea, I need some timing advance over here!

Gary, I have a suggestion for the tech guy working on the chip (if he gets the message) he should forget about doing anything to the low throttle fuel/timing maps (leave it alone so the car will still be god for emissions, since emission tests are done at very low throttle and not at WOT), and at WOT bump the timing AT LEAST 8 degrees advance!

No screwing around with only 5 or 6 degrees (I think I remember a neon owner saying that's how much the "street" chip advanced the timing), that's not enough. I need 8 degrees at least, preferrably 10 degrees. With more octane, the engine will handle it just fine.

I'd like to know if I can change my Shift point on my auto with this ECU? I'd like to atleast be able to rev up to manual stock redline. 7200? Plus shift at that point.

Maybe thats why we run 17's?

The AT shift point is stored in the TCM.... so forget about that with an ECU.

You have only been seeing 20 degrees advance right Todd? The AFX Neon ECU advances 30 degrees, Neon stock ECU seems to give them 25 degrees, so for them it is only 5 or 6. So hopefully the ECU for us will run at 30 degrees advance.

Yeah I'm curious about the ECU.... might be a middle stage...

Would it be asking too much to have this be laptop programmable, with a stutterbox option, boost control, and multi-stage nitrous control?
Thought so.
Just give us what you can, guys... :-D

I've seen 20 deg advance without touching the SAFC, with it leaned out 23 degrees advance

hmm, I forgot the DOHC neons have a little more timing than us

daydreaming: .oO(30 degrees advance at WOT, mmmmm, that would be perfect, drooolll)
