20822, Creekin' noises out of front driver's side wheel
Posted by Kiku, Apr-20-02 04:13 AM
Lately i've been having a creekin' noise coming out of my front wheel well that seems to happen when the wheel turn or when the car is under or off load. It happens sometimes if i just turnthe wheel. It is not the camber kit i have installed (at least for what i think) because if i push the car up/down, it does not creek.

My concern is if its any of the bushings in the front right suspension area. I'm just about done troubleshooting this and ordering new bushings and urethane ones as well.

My only other problem i have in my suspension right now is that my steering tie rod ends have tiny play in them which i plan to replace soon.

I have brand new koni yellows with maxpeed coilovers. None of my other wheels have this problem. I'm going to try to swap my front shock setup between the left and right front wheels to eliminate the issue of it being the coilover setup.

Meanwhile, anyone here have had or currently have this problem?

Thanks.

I've got the same noise coming from the same place... i check everything... no problems... thought it was maybe the half axel... but they were good... i talked to the local mitsu/eagle serivce center - they told me it wouldnt be a problem... that it was more than likely just something making a littile noise from movement... i took there word for it. just some info.
