I am putting everything back together after the rebuild and when I got the engine/tranny installed I connected up the shifter linkage and clutch hydraulics to see If everything was o.k. before I started to put everything else back on the engine. The clutch pedal barely felt like it had any resistance at all so I bleed the clutch, and it still felt the same. So I thought I had messed up putting in the clutch release bearing so I disconnect the stuff and pull the engine and tranny back out of the car. I took it apart and everything looked fine so I re-installed again and as expected I got the same results. Anyone have any ideas if this is normal? I have the fidanza/spec modular clutch from howell. Also when I took it apart, the release bearing must have been going up against the pressure plate diaphram when I was pressing the clutch pedal because the pressure plate had fresh contact marks on it from the release bearing.

u know what. It might just be the feel of the new clutch. The reason i say this is because this is EXACTLY how my clutch felt when I had a new one installed. I actually stalled a couple times because it felt like there was no resistence when letting the clutch out. Now it feels like normal. I dont know if I got used to the clutch or if the I broke in the clutch.

New clutches do that. Perfectly normal - you'll get pedal pressure back in about 150 miles. :D

Yep that's completely normal... drive it, man! The pedal pressure WILL come back.

I have had my CFDF on for about 700 miles now and the pedal pressure is just now starting to feel about like the stock still not the same, I thought putting a stage 3 clutch on was gonna make me have an overly developed clutch leg put I was shocked when it almost felt like no resistance was there at all,scared us at first but she drives just fine and the CFDF grips like a biotch!!!

Good ting your not boosting or that CFDF would sure piss you off.. I have been bleeding my slave today trying to get pedal pressure, hehe, now i know whats up, hehe... but when i did tranny installs on my 240, it wasnt weak like that.....

you guys were right, I got done with the whole install today, the clutch is fine. Other problems however. I'll post about that.
