So you have a 2gnt with the neon motor? The reason I ask is because I came across this company before(not the american one) and they only sell quad throttle bodies for mitsubishi engines, same for the link you just gave me. Unless they make one for the 420A and didnt have it up on the site.

I have the eclipse 420A same thing as you, I asked them if they could make it for our cars and said its no problem since they deal with very similar cars all the time.

What kind of benefit (HP) could you expect from that mod? If it's less than 20 hp I'd rather turbo.

Hey michael, did that neon have cams do you know. Also with this latest setup, do they use individual filters, what size are the TB's?

the quad TB for the zetec motors takes it from about 130HP to 170HP. nice gain.
and the air filters thing.. it's kinda up to you to do with it as you please.. most people use two filters, just like a dual side draught carb setup, if you've ever seen one of those.

I want to make a Variable Length Intake if I get a quad throttle body setup and feed air into it using a WRX scoop.

What exactly is the advantage to having 4 tb's? just better airflow or what.

it's just like putting dual carbs on an old V8.. MORE POWER. looks like around 25% HP increase.. seems like a damn good increase to me. and that's just by it's self.

yep good increase put some cams on etc.. this will get you a good start at the all-motor beast

Just looked up the performance numbers; 31+whp increase on a bone stock motor; that's a 27% gains on a stock motor.
The 4 TBs are 46mm and uses 4 individual K&N filters.

quad TB setups are so pimp. It's like running dual side draught carbs.. hehe. which there is a kit so I could put dual side draughts on my zx2.. but why would I want to get ride of fuel injection? hehe.. except it's a hell of alot cheaper for the carb setup.

20437, RE: Quad throttle body setup w/computer Posted by Amish_Eclipse, Apr-17-02 10:47 AM
isn't that how sportbikes do it? one carb or tb per cylinder.
|
20438, RE: Quad throttle body setup w/computer Posted by Breezio, Apr-17-02 03:26 PM
yep, but when you have multi carbs.. it gets harder and hard to keep them all in tune, and if you have to mess with anything in the carb.. it's a really bitch.. hehe. multi TB's should be easy to keep 'in tune' since all they do is the air butterfly.
