what are the advantages of a 2.5" in comparison to a 3" cat back? I have a stage 1 hrc and will be intercooled and running 8psi in the near future...would 3" be too much? i searched for some exhaust info but wasnt able to find much on this...thanks much

a 3" would be just right, from the things I've heard.

It depends on what you are running. I have been looking into this for a while and the vast majority of the responses I've seen are that a 2.5 is more than enough. You don't need a 3" unless you plan on making insane HP.

with a turbo system the bigger the exhaust the better. most people talk about back pressure and you can have too big of a pipe but that is with n/a engines. the exhaust turbine on the turbo makes all the back pressure you need and then some so a 3" is the best way to go. more power, shorter spool up. until you get in the you get to the upper hp levels you dont have to have it, but then again you dont need a turbo on there either, do you. 3" will make a power difference.

2.5" is good for up to 300 hp if you are planning on making more than than then go ahead and get a 3" pipe.

is the GReddy evolution cat back 3"? if so, whats a good 2.5" exhaust to get for an NA car?

I'm getting the Greddy Evo Exhaust for my 98 Eclipse Spyder GS. I got the Non-Turbo Version. Fits all 96-99 Eclipse GS/RS The piping is 60mm (2.5" approx) The Turbo version is a 80mm (3" piping approx).

how does the apexi N1 look on our cars?? people say it hangs really low even on stock height...does anyone have a picture of it on a 2g?

from what i've heard. if your under 300hp there will be no difference in the two pipes. n1's are big. i'm looking at an apexi N1 muff right now. inlet is huge and tip is huger. it's kinda gawdy lookin. i'm gonna look for the non turbo one cause it's smaller in the tip department.

dave...where did you get the pacesetter catback?? i have a hayame muffler on my car now and would love to keep it if i can just run the pacesetter piping...do they have 3"??

I went and measured my Apex N1 catback. The canister at its lowest point was 4.5" off the ground. I will get some shots of it. I think it's awesome.

btw I was at stock height when I measured it.
