ok so im driving home from a friends b4 and the car just dies while going about 80.. im kinda low on oil and have a small leak in the Vc

so i figured she would start right back up.. but it just wont start..

it doesnt want to start.

my boy thinks its the alternator.. would that cause my car to die while driving? im going to put new plugs in .. because last time i had a problem like this that fixed it.

im really pissed right now.. i mean if you read in the pits.. i kinda backed up into my friends car last night.. and scarped my rear bumper and cracked it some.. and its molded in.

i really just want a new car.. i was all about to put all my money into the motor i was 3/4 of the way to stage 2 hrc.. but now this happens

well some might remember me saying i could get a whole 420a and 5spd tranny for 900.. thats everything the kid gutted the whole bay of his gs..

now i forgot what year it is.. but i think its96+ so its odb2.. is that a big deal if i have his whole motor.. i would just put that whole thing in.

its got 60k on it.. compared to my 95 with 82.

and i have bad comp in cyl 1.

would i be able to do this.. iknow it all bolts in. id just have to cut for the new pedal assembly since i have a auto.

i wouldnt mind doing this.. then i could use my spare motor for parts to sell to you guys and for me to use so i had no down time.

im kinda thinking of selling it.. its payed for with 12k into it.
what do you guys think i can get for it.

most dont want to buy a fixed up car.but i can say a nice show car that just needs some work.

since i need a new front bumper and now that rear needs some work
new cf hood on it.

since the old one is junk..

i am looking into a 46g3 dsm but dont want killer ins.. my boy got a 95 tsi for 8grand.. i would love to buy the car flat out since i hate payments and dont want full coverage.

i got 1.3 years left in the AF.. really dont want a payment when im out

but im thinking a tsi or tsi awd though id rather have a gsx cuz i dont like the looks of talons and i know i can swap bumpers.. but the gsx is more cash.

or a 92-95 civic hatch with a b16b (ctr motor) though that motor is about 5grand itself..

i want speed with moderate loooks..

id love a 99 gsx. but 14k is a lot of cash

so it wont start, turn over, nada?? my ecu blew a short while i was doin about 85 on da highway one time, it sukkd, woudlnt turn over, but id get the lights on since my batt was good.

id check the voltage cummin off your battery, and werk on fuel and spark as well.....and dont rule out the ecu...i dunno how to check it, but lets hope thats not it...
