wow that's one fat TB 57 is really big I think right? normal upgarde is like 55 or 56 I think. That's a nice manifold so you had it ported out didja? Ahhh NA tuning at it's best!

Yeah I've been ported polished and bored. Advanced Racing Dynamics did the job for $150. The 57mm seems ok I need to get used to it and do a little more tuning though. Idle used to be at 800 now it drops to 1k bounces to 2k for a second and then comes back to rest at 800. Throttle response seems to have droped but top end seems alot better. Not sure if this is right but maybe a little more tuning will fix this or maybe I just need to get used to it like I said previously.:-) Over all I am very happy.

http://photos.yahoo.com/lamotorsports I've got a picture of my stock TB and the 55mm TB. You can clearly see a differance in the two. I really doubt you will be able to feel the differance between a 55 and 57mm TB. You only talking 2mm and that is vary minimal.

ya, good point, but w/2+mm in diameter, u can flow a good 1 or 2 square cm's or inches..
furthermore, with turbo applications, u wanna cram as much air as possible into da engine...

do the throttle plate adjustment or at least check the horizontalness of it, to make sure u get all u can at WOT!!!

Sean,
Could you tell much differance with UDP? I just got my 55mm TB last week and could definitly tell bottom end throttle response right away and plus the sound of the CAI sucking air like it never had before. The guy I got the TB off of said he has the unorthodox UDP and when I asked him if he could tell a differance, all he said was when he turned the wheels to complete lock the lights dimmed and that was about it. I'm just curious before I move to the next mod.

Thanks,
Allen

edit:
umm unorthodox=20% underdrive, afx= 30% underdrive
more underdrive=less power the engine has to use to spin the pulley, and the alt/ps/ac pullies.....
:

chill meng, afx udp is prooven 8-12 whp gain.. to recap my personal experiences, it felt lighter for about 50 miles, then i got used to it. i smoke stock 420a's all day!(i fakkin better right?)
install is a bitch, just be patient and use my writeup..

my int. lights dim at idle, but i idle at 500rpms, but they are fine at 750 rpms...

just keep an eye on the tightness of the belts, and have fun....

good luck

They USED to have a 20% but now they redesigned it and it's 30%.

nice looking TB and manifold.. what's kinda funny is that TB (the shape and placement of everything) looks almost identical to the TB that was on my 420a SOHC plymouth Breeze. I know the breeze has a neon style 420a.. but that TB sure looks alot alike.

oh.. but I don't like how the throttle plate is connected, being just screwed onto one side of the bar in the middle.. that's gotta restrict some air.. correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the AF/X / Howell one the plate is through the middel of teh bar so at WOT the air has a nice clean path on both sides of the throttle plate. And body have a picture of their AF/X bored TB witht he throttle plate all the way open to show what I'm talking about?

EDIT: N/m I just looked over the pics again. it is just bolted onto one side but the bar is only half round.. so I suppose that ain't bad at all then.
