do you know why when i start my car, it seems like its not going to start at first, but it always cranks up anyway. it kinda does this "rmm-ehh-ehh-" thing before it starts up. any idea? TIA

Could be a few things. Battery going bad can cause hard starts. Could be the starter is going out. Also could just be the weather. :D

all out of K-Y sorry LOL kidding....what do you mean do i prime it? When i bought it, they replaced the battery cause it hadnt been drove since september, and i got it in december. could that be it?

hm...I'm wondering about that too. My car starts funny when I leave it sits like a week long without starting the engine. Takes a little while to idle out but runs fine when use every day. Weird eh... Maybe someone has a good answer. But for now I'm going to see if changing the fuel filter would fix my problem, then go wash my intake filter.

Eklipse - what year do you have and do you know where the fuel filter is?

I get that sometimes, I have no idea what it could be

priming the fuel filter....leave the key in the start position for a few seconds before turning the car over... your welcome :)

leave it in the ON position for a few seconds before moving it to the START position ;)
