What should I get, I've found a bunch of 1g TB on DSMtrader.com, some from turbos.

Are these good upgrades or should I go new?

What TB should I get?

I know I definitely want it bored prolly to 55 or 57mm, that fits our engine without a pain in the ass right?

1g throttle bodies to not fit our cars.

Hey the 1g throtte body is not for our engine. They can be switched onto a turbo eclipse engine,I think, but not ours. They do not make an aftermarket TB for our engine either. The thing we do is get an extra TB if you can't afford the 2 week downtime, call up howell for a 55mm bore job for $100 or ARD to get a new 57mm bore job and have your intake mani bored and gasket matched for $150 or just $80 i think for the TB. Hope this covers it.

how much noticeable difference is there between a 55mm and 57mm bored TB?

I should be getting my 57mm in fedex tomarrow and of course it will be going on tomarrow rain snow sleet or hail even till 2:00am if need be. I believe this is the first 57mm tb (please correct me if I'm wrong guys)I will post results and pics asap.

Oh yeah and Fate, Super20g has had one for bout a month but his engine is apart in his garage so he hasn't put it on yet. But let us know the results on the performance(response,idle,etc..) You will be the first to put theirs on i believe.;)

Does anyone know if theoretically a 57mm TB would be better for an A/T GS than a 55mm TB? Or would it be worse. Please explain also. Thanks.

Just so you guys know AFX makes an aftermarket TB for our cars. I believe it is 55mm. It would be cheaper/better to go through either howell or ARD. Plus we have found that neon tb work for our cars, which means we can upgrade to the 60mm jeep tb that they use. You can just look back a few days to see the specifics on that


Anthony I like the new pic of your ride, it looks pretty badass lowered.

Assuming that guy was right a few wks ago and neon TB will fit, modernperformance.com sells brand new CNC'd 55 and 60mm TB's if someone doesn't want to get it bored. They are nice looking too.
