to get my cam gears installed? It looks like I could do it myself by cutting off the plastic cover and putting the sprokets on one at a time, just not pulling the timing belt off completely and sliding it back on. Is this possible? I don't want too spend a lot of money if I can help it. I've already got the gears so pelase help! I'm dying to see the results!

No, don't do it yourself unless you can also do the timing belt. You can't just slide it on or off. You need to raise and lower the engine multiple times to get the rear gear off, and all the timing belt, pulleys etc...its a really big job, and you really shouldn't do it unless you're mechanically inclined and have done the timing belt before.

BTW, install is typically around 200 dollars, but only take it somewhere that has done nonturbo eclipses before. A lot of people have problems with shops not being to get the timing right (off by one tooth etc) - ask Stan...
