im in so cal i will check out kaiser car ( the proto car ) tommorow since he was the proto oil cooler guy and will be coming by my place tommorow... i plan to get one soon just if the price is right etc...hehe

It will take me a few days to establish a retail price as well as dealer cost. I must first determine the cost of the parts used. My initial feeling is that it should be between $99.00 and $149.00. First off, thanks for all the trouble you've gone to for doing this. Secondly, I hope it will be closer to the $99 level, if that. Right now, I'm observing that other companies out there provide oil cooler universal kits ranging in price from $60- $130. Now, I'd be willing to pay a fair amount for your product given that you've specifically sized it for our car, but I wouldn't be willing to pay an extroardinarily higher price for it. As import car owners, in many ways we're already raped in prices when compared with other domestic car owners. (I'm not saying that's the case here with your product)

What's the point: be competitive, if not advantagious, with your pricing and you'll sell a lot more.

What would I do, if I were you: provide a group buy for your product at a special low introductory price (like $70 or so) to 2GNT members for a limited time. Then, with that, you'll not only get your product out to a lot of enthusiasts, people on THIS BOARD will be able to comment hopefully favorably on your oil cooler and have the word spread on how available and wonderful it truly is. That's happened in many different ways here with many other products, and when so many other people come to "us" asking suggestions in regard to appropriate modifications or additions, we point them in the direction of a vendor that has not only been fair and helpful, but has provided our community with a product that is extremely valuable to our cars. Believe me when I tell you when you get the stamp of approval from this board that your sales WILL reflect positively from our endorsement. I guarantee it.

p.s. In your product description, I would include Eagle Talons (95-98), as well as Dodge Avengers and Chrysler Sebrgins (95-00) 4 cylinder models, since we're all virtually identical. Many novices to our community sometimes do not understand the level of how identical our cars really are.

yah recently i was going to buy a universal oil cooler with adapter etc from pep boys for like around 70something bucks only comes complete... i would say anything around 100 and below would be a fair price depending wat kind of special parts you used... a group buy sounds very good

ya a group buy would be the smart way to do it... I would prob be in it... along with maybe 15 others... think about it thats alot of cash and if we truley see a difference we will tell you... and make a post about it...

got my super cooler for 110 from carparts so 100 sounds like an ok price. I hope that core is really good compared to my super cooler.

I am not familiar with the super cooler, but our cooler is a 6 pass type with 1/2" tubes. We have had independent testing done at The Environmental Testing Laboratory in Texas. The report was documented as follows on certification #D939. "Perma-Cool's 3/4" thick thin line Turbulator tube and fin cooler extracted 21% more heat than the

quick question. performance wise what are the benefits? (aside from treating the engine nice)

The benefits of cooler engine oil are reduced wear on aftermarket oil cooled turbos as well as reduced wear on rod/main bearings. The cooler that was used on this vehicle has reduced oil pan temperatures by 32 degrees in previous test that I have conducted. Performance improvements are really minimal. The main purpose of an oil cooler is to extend the life of the engine. Thanks, Wes

Actually, from what I understand, the cooler was made specifically to fit behind the eclipse bumper (with very close clearance). Therefore, since the talon bumpers and the avenger/sebring are different, maybe that's why those applications are not listed. I could be wrong though.

The reason that the other "similar" vehicles are not listed is that I have not yet determined if the fitment would be identical. I don't want to prematuraly reccomend a part that may or may not fit. As time allows I will be interested to locate these other vehicles and do the test fitting. This entire program has developed very quickly (about 6 weeks total) and I want to be sure that any applications are correctly described. Thanks Wes
