So right now I'm all-motor, but I would eventually like to go turbo. But I was wondering what things should I do to my car now that aren't really a waste. I've got intake and exhaust, and I know that will all change, but I mean the next steps.

I think I read that stock cams are better than after-market cams, but what about UDP, could I keep that when I went turbo?

Any other advice...or should I just not do anything until I have money for turbo?

You dont need a rebuild if your only Stage 1. Do a compression test. Also add a Starion FMIC which you can get for 250-300? including someone making u custom piping. You can find people all the time selling turbo kits so u can pick on up for a good deal like I did and Jeff (Glacious) did. After turbo you can make a new fund for a rebuild down the road.
