1953, RE: Belt squeaks when its about to rain Posted by magnus, May-16-01 07:24 AM Wait guys 1. get new belts 2. replacing the belts is soooo easy its not even funny for the Accessory belts just loosen the tensior pulley lock nut, loosen the tension bolt and remove the accessory belt. for the alt belt just get under the car and loosen up the tension bolt and pull it off....install is reverse of removal. Make sure to loosen the LOCK NUT FIRST if you dont you will strip and break the accessory tension bolt. this will stop the squeaking and it makes you feel like a real mechanic..have fun | |
