any one ever heard of el natural - the honda crx with a predule motor the 2.2 liter 220 HP and runs a 10.79 all motor...i dont know a single eclipse that can do that...

actually i do know of one in a magizine aritcle i have read it is a daily driven eagle talon 9 seconds thats is a bad ass talon i'd say - no naturally aspirated honda can do that!!

Well the 9 second talon/eclipse are turboed and most likely AWD.

yes very true - it was turbo i found the article 31 PSI and AWD - but still thats freakin awesome!!

I BELIEVE THAT 9 SECOND TALON WAS RUNNING ON STREET TIRES AND REGULAR PUMP GAS! THAT IS TRULY AMAZING! ALSO, DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DAILY DRIVER TALON AND THE CRX!

there are daily driver NA ZX2's that pully mid to high 14's in the 1/4. not too shabby.

umm, they are definitely honda's that can run that fast on the street. it's so easy for them to swap engines into extremely light cars such as the CRX. the swap with the car you're talking about isn't uncommon. many people drop the H22A (dohc v-tec prelude) engine in crx's. the new swaps or atleast newest are the "new frankenstein" drop. it's a V-tec head i believe on a B20 bottom end (Honda CRV) http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/b20vtec/b20vtec.html extremely effective :P i've actually heard of some people dropping the Supra engine into Lexus IS's now but i've yet to PERSONALLY confirm that. i do know people have swapped that engine into other cars though. the lexus on this page has the swap. and if you wanna see the meanest nine second daily driven car then check out SW's Supra. third one down http://www.turboimports.com/turcar.html :P

damn that supra is PHAT - the rest arent to shabby either a 10 sec and 11 sec - not bad... 9.83 is quick very quikc - that is a hard task to accomplish am i wrong?

First off are you sure its el natural cuz I could have swarn it was lil natural. 2nd I believe it is quite possible for us to get respectable NA times. Look at the Neons for example there is a 10sec all motor neon and it still has the 420a. If we had someone mod out an eclipse it would be fast NA.

There's a 10 second all motor neon?? How? Where? I don't see 10's as even possible. HRC Stage 5 is still in the 11's. Is this an all drag car that weights under 1500 pounds or something?

Len Ayala's fastest time is 9.75@151 and making 750hp at the flywheel

Either way the All motor 420A Neon IS faster than HRC's Stage 5 eclipse.

In regards to the reply about dropping a Supra engine in a IS...
This type of swap shouldn't even haft to be done, after all the new IS 300's come with the 2JZ-GTE engines. Which is the same one that once came in the turbo'd Supras. Not trying to seem smart, just thought I'd let you know.

john sheppard has the 9sec awd turbo 1g .. 9s on radials i believe and its street legal

mikecrawford and len both have 10andbelow neons

jeremy l has the crx its orange with blue flames.. yea it runs 9s but its a full drag car. all gutted and everything..not street legal by far
